Sami Khan who is also known as Mansoor Aslam Khan Niazi is a very prominent and talented personality of the Pakistan entertainment industry. Khan is a film and television actor, and a model. He was born on 6th July 1980, in Lahore. He got his Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore in 2003. Until now, he is spending his life in the same city.
Sami belongs to a family that has a non-artistic background. However, his younger brother, Taifoor Khan is an actor, model, and musician in the showbiz industry. After the entry of Sami Khan, Taifoor also became the part of the showbiz industry. Khan was passionate to enter the media arena when he got the opportunity to make his debut in the Lollywood film “Salakhein”. At that time, Sami was in the final year of engineering. Khan got married to a beautiful lady Shanzay Khan and the couple was blessed with a baby girl.
Career Journey
Khan started his career directly from the Lollywood. He debuts his first film named “Salakhein” stirred with Ahmed Buttt, Zara Sheik and Meera. However, the film was released in 2004. In this debut, khan acted as a police officer, Mansoor. After his film debut, Khan starred in the drama industry and play versatile roles in various Pakistani dramas. He’s one of the famous drama is “Dil Se Dil Tak” with the co-actress/actor Farhana Maqsoo and Ahsan Khan, which was aired on PTV. His other award-winning serial was Zafar Mairaj’s written drama “Ghar ka Khatir”. The drama revolves around the story of a man who sacrifices for his family. This drama also aired on PTV Home from 2010 to 2011.
In 2013, Khan made his debut in a famous telefilm “Devar Bhabhi” which a remake of the 1967 film of the same name. This drama tells a story of a dewar (Sami Khan) and a bhabhi (Saima Noor). In this his telefilm, Khan portrayed the role of Khalid with the co-actresses, Saima Noor and Sadia Khan. This was directed by Sayed Noor. Following the years, in 2016, he acted on the Geo TV romantic drama serial “Dhani” opposite with Madiha Imam. The story revolves around a rich guy who loves with an innocent and humble girl and can fight from anyone for his love.
Another hit PTV drama serial was “Main” which was broadcast in 2017. Sami portrayed in this play stirring with a popular actor Babar Ali, Adnan Shah, and Mehwish Hayat which earned him the nomination on the LUX Style Award. He is recently playing in a famous Hum TV drama “Ishq Zahe Naseeb” stirring with Zahid Ahmed and Sonya Hussain as a lead role. The drama is focusing on the very serious issue of Split Personality disorder. Now a day, Sami is also worked as a Goodwill Ambassador under the Children’s Literature Festival, CLF since 30 July, 2019.
