Imam Baber Aziz professionally known as Iman Ali is a supermodel, and actress of Pakistan showbiz. She is also one of the highest-paid models of Pakistan who has worked with top Indian designers, such as Tarun Tahiliani, Suneet Varma, Rina Dhaka, Manish Malhotra, and J.J. Valaya. She is born on 19th December 1980, in Pakistan. She is the daughter of a veteran actor in Pakistan, Abid Ali. She was the face of “Luscious Cosmetic”. Imam Ali got married to a Canada-based businessman Babar Bhatti on 21st February 2019 in Lahore. Babar Bhatti is the grandson of Major Raja Aziz Bhatti (Shaheed).

Career Journey

Imam Ali first started her career as an actor in the serial “Dil Dekay Jaien Gey” starred with Fawad Khan in 2010. Her success was followed by her debut in a Pakistani romantic film “Arman” starred with Fawad Khan, Aamina Sheikh, Vasay Chaudhry and Mahnoor Khan in 2013. The film is the remake of the Waheed Murade’s movie and tells a story of a beautiful, underprivileged girl who live with her stepmother and half-sister. She made her debut in an Indian drama film “Kismat” as a leading actress with the co-actor Viraf Phiroz Patel which revolves around the stories of two men born worlds apart.

In 2013, Imam Ali has also starred alongside a famous singer of Pakistan Shehzad Roy in the first episode of “Chal Parha” aired on Geo News. She debuts a video song “Ishq Mohabbat Apna Pan” which was directed by Shoaib Mansoor. She has also become a co-hosted in the “4th Lux Style Awards” in 2005.

Imam Ali made her film debut in “Khuda Kay Liye”, starred with Shaan Shahid, Fawad Khan and Naseeruddin Shah, and directed by Shoaib Mansoor in 2007. This movie also released as “For the sake of God” in the international market. The film tells a story of two singers, Mansoor and Sarmad (played by Shaan and Khan) whose lives change after the attacks of 9/11 in America and due to misinterpreted teachings of Jihad.

Following the success, she then acted a supporting role in social drama Pakistani film, “Bol” opposite Atif Aslam, Humaima Malik, and Mahira Khan in 2011. The film revolves around the story a religious Muslim family facing financial difficulties due to the desecration to have a son and rejection of existing daughters.

She debuts a lead actress role in a biographical film “Mah e Mir” opposite Fahad Mustafa and Sanam Saeed, and directed by Anjum Shahzad in 2015. This film is the story of the struggle of a contemporary poet which is parallels the events in Mir’s life. She will appear in the upcoming romantic and comedy Urdu film “Tich Button” of 2019 with Farhan Saeed.

Achievements

The supermodel is the recipient of two awards. Imam Ali’s first award was the Lux Style Awards for Best Actress for her outstanding performance in “Khuda Kay Liye” in 2008. She was also awarded the Lux Style Award for “Best Dressed Celebrity” in 2006.
